This site is for those looking to get more information about Brian Magnosi. While he has done many things in his professional career, the most rewarding times for him have been when he was a valued resource to his customers and building relationships that not only stood the test of time but also competition.
For those who may not know much about Brian Magnosi, this site will give some valued backstory on Brian so you can understand how he may be an asset to your organization. He attended SUNY Oneonta, in Oneonta NY and graduated in May 1995 with a BS in Business and Economics.
Brian began his career in the wireless industry and worked for Cellular One for about 3 years prior to getting started in pharmaceuticals. He started as an inside sales rep and then was promoted to an outside sales rep. He grew restless in that environment as his sales and communication skills continued to grow. He began to look into the pharmaceutical industry due to the challenge and prestige often associated with that career and decided to make the switch.
Brian Magnosi’s first pharmaceutical sales position was with Jones Pharma, a family owned pharmaceutical company based in St. Louis, MO. Jones Pharma specialized in mostly thyroid based products including Levoxyl (for hyothyroidism) and Tapazole (anti thyroid), and Cytomel (T3/T4 combination therapy). Having enjoyed considerable success taking his territory from the bottom 10% in the nation to the top 10% within 2 years, Brian Magnosi was thrilled.
King Pharmaceuticals then purchased Jones and Brian was brought over to King with the merger. Brian continued promoting Leveoxyl along with King’s acquisition of Altace. Altace (Ramipril), an ACE Inhibitor. Brian aggressively promoted both products along with as tertiary product (Lorabid) and went on to earn the President’s Club award 3 times (2001, 2002, 2004) along with earning substantial accolades including winning every local and regional award given in the district.
Brian Magnosi transitioned into the specialty pharmaceutical arena with Alpharma. Brian moved to Vermont and covered 3 states by himself and successfully launched Kadian, (branded morphine sulphate).
After a brief transition back to school to study Theology and Ethics at RBTC (Rhema) in Tulsa, OK, Brian moved back to Central NY with his family and re-entered the pharmaceutical space. Some may ask why Brian Magnosi decided to go back to school for a seemingly unrelated field of study, however in a day and age where integrity and ethics are so poorly practiced in the corporate world, Brian felt it was a logical choice and the perfect compliment to his career path.
After successfully graduating from RBTC, Brian Magnosi went back into his pharmaceutical career with Novaquest and Abbott. Abbott was launching a new branded hydrocodone to be called Vicoden CR. Brian launched the Binghamton/Central, NY territory for Abbott’s newly created pain care division and successfully built upon pervious relationships with physicals, pharmacists and office staff again. Due to issues with the FDA’s approval of the product, Abbott removed the sales force and moved on to other products in their pipeline.
